My Education: Both- Penna School for the Deaf, Phila Pa, Oliver left when
WW11 broke out. Sarah left in 1940's to stay on the farm and help her family.
My family: Son- Dustin, Daughter- Linda, wife of Jerry Crump, and
Grandson-Jerry Jr
My first Job: Oliver worked at Reese Lock on Plum St in 1944, making safe
padlock. Sarah started her first job as sewing operator in 1943
Lad Member: Oliver has been a member since the day at rental clubhouse in
Sunnyside area where they used live nearby.
What you like about your retirement: Since Oliver retired from his last job
working at K-D Tools and he still like to work as he gets restless after his
retirement
My Idea of good time:Oliver enjoys outdoors, fishing and hunting. He has done
that since he was 11 years old . Sarah enjoys sewing.
My best Memories in Deaf Club: Oliver cherished his memories of starting the
orginal club at Sunnyside. He sharedthose memories with Dick Werner , Ben
Werner , Richard Werner , James Grube , Robert Shirk and Harrison Shirk. The
big help he remembered the most is that Richard Werner owner a property at
Sunnyside and rent it out to them so Deafies can get together and socialize.
My favorite TV programming: Oliver enjoys watching WWF and NASCAR racing.
Sarah enjoys watching any shows that she find it interesting.
Our Greatest accomplishments: We got married in 1948 and have beenmarried
for 56 years.
